I could feel his gaze on me. Casually, I looked out of the corner of my eye. He seemed to be attractive enough, tall and muscular, just the way I liked them. I handed the cashier the money for my coffee and sat at a nearby table. I pulled out my ragged paperback and opened it to the bookmarked page.“Mind if I sit down?”Before I could reply he pulled out the chair and sat directly in front of me. He looked at the cover of my book.“Are you a big mystery fan?” he asked.“You could say that,” I casually replied.Actually, I hadn’t read a word of the book. I just carried it around as a prop whenever I went cruising. I smiled, put the bookmark back in its place and laid the book down giving him my full attention.His eyes were a deep blue. His hair was the color of sunflowers, my favorite; I smiled at him and lowered my eyes. This night I wanted to be coy. I was willing to play the part of his twink conquest.“Are you from here?” he asked.I looked into his eyes and replied, “Would you like to go back to my place? I live just around the corner.”From his expression I could tell he was taken aback by my frankness, but I didn’t feel like playing games.
